This advice-column-style blog for SLPs was authored by Pam Marshalla from 2006 to 2015, the archives of which can be explored here. I wanted to take a moment to speak about Pam’s most recent unpublished book, The Marshalla Guide. Many of you have written in to ask me about when it will be ready for publication and I am very grateful for your interest.
The Marshalla Guide is a monumental work, containing over 500 pages of thorough content, with hundreds of illustrations and an enormous reference list. It will be Pam’s pinnacle work and her most important contribution to the field of speech-language pathology.
Presently, I am the sole designer and illustrator for the book, as well as a full-time mom (and pregnant again!). I also run the rest of our business, Marshalla Speech & Language. Regrettably, since my daughter’s birth and Pam’s passing, I have been unable to keep up with the work demand and have not been able to make much progress on The Marshalla Guide this year. Originally scheduled for publication in 2015, the book is now scheduled to be published in 2018.
I am truly sorry that I will not be able to shorten this timeline. I appreciate your patience, and your dedication to the profession. Thank you so much for your continued support of Pam and our family business. Thank you, thank you!
